We are looking for a dedicated Account Specialist to assist with processing financial information on annuity accounts. Key Responsibilities
- Disbursement Processing: Handle all disbursement requests, including partial surrenders, surrenders, loans, allocation and fund transfers, and matured annuity rider transactions.
- Accounting Tasks: Process accounting requests, reconcile and balance payment jobs, manage bank changes, allocation and fund transfers, wires, EFT balancing, and clear daily errors reports.
- Correspondence Management: Address general inquiries into policies, TEFRA and TAMRA questions, in-force illustration requests, premium and loan histories, beneficiary changes, ownership changes, and assignments.
- Franchise Functions: Manage new business functions, residual payment applications, and balance automated franchise jobs.
- Tax Reporting: Ensure appropriate tax reporting and verify cost basis.
- Suspense Item Reporting: Report suspense items to teams and managers, ensuring timely clearance and assisting team members in reviewing and researching these items.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with representatives, policyowners, and internal departments.
- Legacy Life Requests: Process Legacy Life requests maintained in a separate database.
- Training Support: Assist with training new hires and periodically support existing employees.
- High school diploma.
- Four to six years of experience in insurance and/or banking.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting functions and bank procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and eagerness to grow and learn within the area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Performs routine work within established policies and procedures, receiving detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
- Requires physical presence in the company office on a full-time basis.
