In this role, you’ll play a key part in building and maintaining software that powers our Annuity products, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and innovation in a fast-paced financial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop, code, and unit test applications using enterprise tools and technologies.
- Support and enhance systems that drive Annuity operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours work to keep systems running smoothly.
You will work with the following technologies (training resources provided for self-study):
- COBOL
- JCL
- DB2/SQL
- ZEKE/ZENA or related job scheduling tools
- Xpediter/AbendAid or similar debugging tools
- MOVEit/FTP
- APIs (z/OS Connect)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Foundational programming knowledge and willingness to learn mainframe technologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication.
- Bonus: Basic understanding of accounting principles.
