You will be responsible for setting the strategy and guidelines for extending our API architecture, collaborating across disciplines, and working closely with system developers to ensure business value and scalability.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate across business and technical domains to establish an API strategy that will allow for an extension of the API catalog that balances business priority and technical runway
- Create and maintain API standards and guidelines
- Work across technical teams to educate and mentor on API design and development
- Collaborate with SOA platform team on extending usage and documentation of API tools
- Work outside of, but closely with, agile teams and release trains
- Help to translate high level solution roadmaps into detailed enablers, where needed
- Responsible for ensuring architecture of the systems(s) aligns with architectural guidelines and roadmaps
- Develop system(s) Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure reliability, stability, and performance
- Ensure system(s) meet technical, regulatory, and security standards
- Collaborate on software coding standards
- Lead the evaluation and selection of optimal tools for software development
- Support DevOps processes, i.e., implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines, system logging and monitoring, and cloud/infrastructure automation efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
- Relevant experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
- Proven professional work experience in API development and integration
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and software development
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
