Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting outdoor power equipment, parts, and accessories based on their needs and project requirements
- Actively seek out new business and utilize social media and the web to promote sales.
- Provide detailed product information, including features, maintenance tips, and compatibility
- Operate Ideal POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing
- Maintain organized displays and ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor
- Handle customer inquiries via phone etiquette and in person with professionalism
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products or seasonal specials
- Collaborate with the service department on repair orders
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience in outdoor power equipment or dealership environments preferred
- Knowledge of outdoor power equipment diagnostics, maintenance, or repair is advantageous but not required
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are highly desirable to better serve diverse customer needs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively
- Experience with marketing strategies related to retail or outdoor equipment sales is a plus
