We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, motivated laboratory technician to join our team and support our analytical operations using chromatography and various benchtop testing techniques.
Job Summary:
The Chromatography Laboratory Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining Shimadzu and Agilent chromatographic systems to analyze various gas, liquid, and water samples. This role will mainly involve performing Gas Chromatography (GC), benchtop testing (API Gravity, RVP, etc.), routine cylinder maintenance, and quality control checks to ensure high-quality data is generated in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate and maintain Shimadzu and Agilent chromatographic systems, including Gas Chromatography (GC), for oil and gas sample analysis.
· Perform routine analysis of oil, gas, and water to determine composition and contaminants in accordance with ASTM and GPA methods.
· Calibrate and troubleshoot chromatographic instruments to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
· Collect and analyze chromatographic data, ensuring results are accurately recorded and analyzed per established protocols.
· Generate reports on analysis results, noting any anomalies or deviations from expected outcomes.
· Maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine preventive maintenance.
· Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality guidelines in compliance with industry standards.
· Collaborate with field technicians to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
· Assist with cylinder maintenance, cleaning, and shipment receipt as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
· Experience in an analytical setting, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
