Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare directly to the Norwich, NY community! With new providers joining our team, we are looking for a multi-tasking, flexible, Dental Assistant and we are willing to train. In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more.
- Take X-rays using digital imaging technology.
- Manage patient records accurately using Denticon EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times
- Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist/office manager and updating medical documentation
Following Requirements are preferred BUT we are willing to train the right person.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in dental assisting tasks including X-ray techniques, chairside assisting, and infection control practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging equipment confidently.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
