Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to deliver steel products.
- Secure loads using chains, straps, tarps, and other protective equipment.
- Verify correct materials, quantities, routing, and load sequencing.
- Complete bills of lading, driver logs, inspection reports, and fuel logs.
- Assist customers during off-loading when needed.
- Maintain clean and organized vehicles.
- Follow all safety policies, DOT regulations, and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Acceptable driving record and insurable under company standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred
