Medical Equipment Service Technician
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform scheduled annual service checks, preventative maintenance, and equipment inspections on oxygen concentrators and other respiratory equipment in patient homes.
- Travel throughout Arkansas to visit patients and ensure oxygen equipment is operating safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment operation, cleaning procedures, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Document service visits, equipment conditions, patient interactions, and maintenance activities using company-provided technology.
- Deliver, set up, and retrieve oxygen equipment and other medical devices as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to assemble, disassemble, and properly operate various medical equipment while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Ensure all equipment meets company, manufacturer, and regulatory standards.
- Safely operate company vehicles while traveling to patient homes and healthcare facilities.
- Perform equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while handling medical equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG AND BACKGROUND SCREENING.
- Willingness to travel throughout Arkansas to perform patient visits and equipment service checks.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from our home office. Company vehicles are provided during working hours and returned daily.
- Availability to participate in scheduled on-call rotations.
- Previous experience in medical equipment, service technician, delivery, maintenance, healthcare, or customer service roles preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and maneuver medical equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple patient appointments daily.
- Willingness to be trained on oxygen equipment, company software, and tablet-based documentation systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to work directly with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
