Emergency Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department with a broad range of medical conditions and injuries.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and medical assessments.
• Diagnose acute and complex medical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions within the physician's scope of practice.
• Provide stabilization and management of critically ill or injured patients.
• Recognize and respond rapidly to life-threatening conditions and medical emergencies.
• Consult with specialists and coordinate admissions, transfers, and appropriate follow-up care.
• Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, nurses, and other clinical staff as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental initiatives.
• Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine standards, treatments, and best practices.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
• Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Pay: $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
