As a Rigger/Assembly Technician at American Marine Performance (AMP), you will play a vital role in bringing our world-class boats to life. Your primary responsibility will be the precise assembly of our high-performance boats, ensuring they meet our exacting standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Caps boats by expertly bonding deck and hull together, ensuring a secure and watertight seal.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to drill holes and install a range of accessories, including lights, batteries, switches, fuel tanks, and guide pulleys.
- Install various boat components such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats, cabinets, and windshields, following precise specifications.
- Accurately locate and mark positions for hardware, seats, and other parts using portable electric saws and grinders, securing them in place with bolts or screws.
- Skillfully drill holes and fasten hardware, hatches, and other components in their designated positions using hand tools.
- Expertly run rub rail along the deck's edge by drilling holes and securely fastening it with screws, then installing the insert.
- Apply caulking with precision under rails, windshields, rub rails, and other essential areas using a caulking gun.
- Complete boat assembly by installing upholstery and other necessary components to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in boat assembly, rigging, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
