Material Handler / Order Fulfillment Associate
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Order Fulfillment Associate for a full-time, day-shift position. This is a hands-on role responsible for measuring and cutting material to customer specifications, pulling orders, stocking inventory, and loading/unloading trucks. You will also interact with customers when assisting with orders and pickups, so professional communication is important.
The #1 requirement for this position is the ability to accurately read a tape measure. Candidates must be comfortable measuring material using common fractions of an inch. A tape measure test will be administered during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut material according to customer orders and specifications
- Accurately read a tape measure, including fractional measurements
- Pull, prepare, and verify customer orders
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Assist customers with order pickups and material
- Receive, stock, and organize incoming material
- Verify measurements, quantities, and materials before completing orders
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory
- Keep warehouse and work areas clean and safe
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Assist with general warehouse and material-handling duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
- Comfortable working with measurements and fractions of an inch
- Previous warehouse, material handling, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, building materials, or similar experience preferred
- Comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the shift
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to communicate professionally with customers
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to learn different materials, products, and cutting procedures
Candidates with experience in material handling, order fulfillment, construction supply, lumber/building materials, metal supply, fabrication, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or order picking are encouraged to apply.
