Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote the design, development, and implementation of best-in-class procurement and logistics strategies while driving continuous improvement
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the procurement and logistics teams, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's vision and goals
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of procurement and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Develop, monitor, and analyze procurement and logistics metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for procurement and logistics, including contingency planning and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including other departments, customers, suppliers, and regulators to deliver efficient and effective solutions to challenges related to business operations
- Collaborate with Material Management Group at the plants in Mexico and make visits to the plant as needed
- Manage the vetting process for potential suppliers and drive vendor accountability
- Improve the overall supply chain process by reducing costs, maintaining high quality products, and on time deliveries
- Review and report to management monthly performance, planning, risks, and opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 6 years of strategic Supply Chain Management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven success in developing and implementing procurement and logistics strategies that deliver cost savings, process efficiencies, and drive revenue growth.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams and create a culture of high performance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making, with a deep understanding of procurement and logistics best practices and industry trends.
- Advanced understanding of ERP (SAP preferred)
- Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear PPE all the time at work.
- Must be ok to work in the environment with Li-ion battery production
- Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and climb on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 50lbs.
