Job Title: Coffee Attendant / Barista
Provide friendly, efficient service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages. The primary goal is to create an inviting atmosphere and ensure guests enjoy an exceptional coffee experience that keeps them coming back.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and reach. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds (coffee bags, milk crates, etc.). Ability to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment safely is required.
Work Environment
Fast-paced café setting with frequent interaction with guests. Exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and occasional loud noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Welcome and greet guests warmly; make them feel comfortable and valued.
- Take accurate beverage and food orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and ensure timely preparation.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
- Upsell specialty drinks, pastries, and merchandise using suggestive selling techniques.
- Ensure workstations, equipment, and seating areas are clean and organized at all times.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; restock as needed.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and prepare accurate bills.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning machines, sanitizing surfaces, and securing the store.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or concerns.
- Support team members during peak hours and help maintain smooth operations.
- Current Food Handler’s certificate or ServSafe certification required.
- Barista training or specialty coffee certification is preferred (not mandatory).
