What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at American Leadership Academy?
Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.
American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for Paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 academic school year. Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides instructional support to students individually or in small groups under the direction of a classroom teacher
- Based upon student performance data, assists teams in locating intervention resources and ensures implementation of agreed upon intervention plans
- Monitor and record student progress
- Utilizes tracking system to maintain lists of students participating in interventions.
- Recommends interventions for teachers and paraprofessionals and oversees actions plans based on student performance data
- Supports teachers in the use and interpretation of screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments to improve student achievement in reteach and application lab classes
- Maintains records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity
- Assists in developing intervention plans for identified students within the MTSS process
- Attends required coaching trainings and professional development
- Attends PLC/SST Team, Campus and District meetings/trainings as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/ First Aid Certification card
- Copy of Paraprofessional Certificate, Paraprofessional test results or other applicable documents
