Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to drive new commercialbusinessthrough strategic prospecting, relationship-building, and market engagement. This individual will work closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions tailored to client needs across landscape maintenance, snow removal, and related services. The sales cycle is seasonal, with peak periods and strategic lulls, requiring a proactive and agile sales approach.
Essential Duties& Responsibilities
Proactively prospect and build a robust pipeline through cold calling, drop-ins, networking events, trade shows, and digital outreach.
Conduct research on organizations, market trends, and key decision-makers toidentifyand qualify new business opportunities.
Partner with Account Managers and Maintenance Operations Managers to target the right customers and align sales efforts with operational capacity.
Measure properties, gather bid information, and prepare comprehensive proposals using tools such as Aspire or BMT.
Deliver professional presentations to potential clients and manage the proposal-to-close process, ensuring seamless handoff to operations and finance teams.
Develop trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including property managers and industry partners, often through face-to-face meetings, lunches, and after-hoursevents.
Ensure customer satisfaction bymaintainingcommunication throughout the service delivery process, resolving concerns promptly and effectively.
Analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing for accuracy and alignment with budgeted costs in all proposals.
Monitor the financial performance of active work tickets to ensure profitability, timeliness, and quality standards.
Maintainaccuraterecords in CRM tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, Outlook) including meeting notes, follow-ups, and client communications.
Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional strategies and generate targeted outreach materials.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all client engagements and job sites.
Participate in leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Education,knowledgeand Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred (Horticulture, Business, or related field) but notrequired.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in landscape maintenance, snow removal, waste management, or service-related industries.
Skills Andqualifications
Familiarity with seasonal sales cycles and ability to plan accordingly around ramp-up and slow periods.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, property management relationships, bid/RFP processes, and lifecycle of service agreements.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and CRM platforms. Experience with Aspire and ZoomInfo is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build lasting relationships.
