Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager with a strong Manufacturing Operations background to drive the execution of engineering and product changes into production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within manufacturing organizations, supporting production operations, change management, supply chain coordination, and new product introduction activities. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless implementation of product changes and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead manufacturing-focused program initiatives related to engineering changes, production readiness, and product transitions.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
Drive change control activities from proposal through implementation and production cutover.
Manage project schedules, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
Facilitate program reviews, readiness meetings, and executive status updates.
Maintain Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, reports, and program metrics.
Partner with Supply Chain teams to evaluate inventory impact, material availability, lead times, purchase orders, and production constraints.
Monitor manufacturing readiness, quality approvals, validation activities, work instructions, and operational sign-offs.
Track engineering change implementation status and maintain decision logs and action registers.
Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline manufacturing change execution and operational workflows.
Escalate production risks and operational blockers while driving mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
6 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Program Management, Hardware Program Management, Production Operations, or Technical Program Management.
Strong experience supporting manufacturing environments, production operations, and product lifecycle processes.
Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), change control, or production change implementations.
Hands-on experience with Jira for project tracking and workflow management.
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills for reporting and analysis.
Working knowledge of BOM structures, product revisions, effectivity management, EBOM, MBOM, and PLM systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing planning, inventory management, WIP, procurement processes, lead times, and supply chain operations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
Experience within automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or consumer hardware industries.
Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), PLM, ERP, MES, and manufacturing systems.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience is highly preferred.
Mandatory Background:
- Candidates must come from a Manufacturing Operations, Production Operations, Industrial Manufacturing, Hardware Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics Manufacturing, Medical Device Manufacturing, or similar manufacturing-focused environment.
Candidates with primarily IT Program Management backgrounds and no manufacturing experience will not be considered.
