Company Description:
American International Maritime Company (AIMCO) manages logistics for the movement of cargo from point A to point B. Projects may involve one or more of the following modes of transportation: trucking, barging, ocean vessel, and rail. Our customers ask us to provide quotes for upcoming projects given a particular timeframe, the cargo description, and origins and final destinations. It’s our job to present the most efficient solution. This involves getting quotes from our vendors, searching for pipe yard locations, coordinating labor and equipment, etc. Sometimes there are lots of pieces to the puzzles.
AIMCO has a sister company, American Pipe Handlers (APH.) APH employees heavy equipment operators and owns excavators, vacuums, and other heavy equipment. APH employees use excavators with vac attachments to load/unload trucks, barges, and railcars and rack/ unrack pipe in storage yards. They also build pipe yards, pushing up berms, laying gravel roads, installing culverts, etc.

Job Description and Duties:
Quotes and Project Planning:
- Going out for vendor rates
- Scouting out land for pipe yards
- Spreadsheets
- Estimating labor and materials
Sales meetings – update management and employees about quotes and upcoming and current projects
Customer & vendor relationship management – cultivate and maintain new and existing customer and vendor relationship. This may involve some travel.
Manage the execution of projects – work with the on-site project manager to plan and execute projects. Most of this work can be done from our office with phone calls and emails. However, some travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experienced with Excel spreadsheets and word documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Work ethic
- Ability to multitask
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
