About the Role:
The Adjunct Faculty position in Occupational Therapy is designed to contribute to the academic and professional development of students pursuing careers in occupational therapy. Minimum Qualifications:
- A master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the United States.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical occupational therapy practice in pediatrics and/or neurololgy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree (e.g., OTD, PhD) in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Prior teaching or instructional experience in higher education or professional training settings.
- Experience with curriculum development and academic program assessment.
- Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching modalities and educational technologies.
- Active involvement in occupational therapy research or professional organizations.
- Experience supervising student fieldwork or clinical internships.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures and practical sessions in occupational therapy courses.
- Develop, update, and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools aligned with accreditation standards.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their professional growth and clinical competencies.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to ensure curriculum relevance and facilitate student fieldwork placements.
