Role Description The Senior Workplace Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Arlington, VA, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and optimization of AIR’s workplace environment. This role manages office facilities, space planning, and workplace services to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive setting for staff. The Senior Workplace Manager coordinates maintenance, vendor relationships, and building services; leads office moves and reconfigurations; and implements policies and procedures for workplace standards and compliance. The role collaborates with leadership, HR, IT, and other stakeholders to support hybrid and in-office work models, enhance employee experience, and align workplace strategy with organizational goals. This position also monitors budgets, manages workplace-related projects, and continuously assesses and improves office operations.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of health, safety, and building compliance requirements, and experience implementing workplace policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency with workplace and facilities management tools, office productivity software, and basic data analysis for reporting and planning.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, track costs, and make data-informed decisions about resource allocation.
- Experience in a nonprofit, research, or professional services environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
