Ready to Use Your Dental Skills in a New Way

American Institute of Dental Assisting
Mesa, AZ Full Time | Part Time
POSTED ON 8/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/9/2026

We’re growing and adding another talented dental professional to our team!

This is not your typical dental assisting position.

One day you may be helping students master a new skill, the next you may be coordinating patient appointments or helping a student stay on track toward graduation. We are looking for someone with current or very recent dental experience who enjoys variety, connects well with people, and is ready to make a difference throughout our organization.

This unique position supports three important areas of our school: instruction, clinic scheduling, and student services. You do not need to have formal experience in every area, but you must be adaptable, organized, comfortable working with people, and willing to jump in wherever support is needed.

What You’ll Be Doing Teaching and Mentoring

You will help teach and support dental assisting students as they develop the hands-on skills and confidence needed to enter the dental field.

Formal teaching experience is a plus but is not required. However, you must have experience training, mentoring, or teaching others in a dental office.

Patient Scheduling and Clinic Support

You will help keep our clinical department organized by contacting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, and helping resolve scheduling challenges.

At least one year of dental or medical patient-scheduling experience is required.

Student Services Support

You will work with our Student Services team to help students stay on track, complete program requirements, and get the support they need throughout their time with us.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least three years of current or recent dental assisting/office experience
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, or training others in a dental office
  • At least one year of patient-scheduling experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Dependable, flexible, positive, and willing to help in different areas
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, including Fridays

Because this position involves teaching current dental practices and supporting active clinic operations, applicants must have at least three years of dental experience and must currently be working in the dental field or have worked in it very recently. Candidates who have been out of dentistry for an extended period may not be considered.

We Take Care of Our Team

We love our team and believe the people who support our students and patients should feel supported too. In addition to a fun, meaningful, and team-focused work environment, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Paid time off
  • Paid sick leave
  • Health insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Paid major holidays
  • Educational tuition benefits
  • Employer-provided Costco or Sam’s Club membership

We are proud to invest in our employees and create a workplace where people feel appreciated, supported, and excited to come to work.

Why This Position Is Different

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys dentistry but is ready for more variety and a chance to make a bigger impact.

You will have the opportunity to help shape future dental assistants, support patients, work alongside a fun and dedicated team, and play an important role in the success of our students and organization.

If you meet the qualifications and this sounds like the type of position you have been looking for, we would love to talk with you.

Schedule: Monday -Friday or Tuesday-Friday — Fridays are required.

Position can be either part time or full time.

To apply, please submit your résumé and a brief summary of your recent dental experience, teaching or mentoring background, and patient-scheduling experience.
