Job Title: Engineer/Draftsman

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This role involves performing structural analysis, developing design calculations, producing engineered solutions and drafting those solutions in SolidWorks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform structural design and analysis for steel and aluminum systems
2. Develop and review engineering calculations (H-20, HL-93, bending, shear, deflection)
3. Apply relevant codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, OSHA, ASTM)
4. Prepare calculation packages and documentation
5. Assist with product design
6. Draft customer submittal drawings
7. Draft production drawings for fabrication
8. Collaborate with drafting, production, and sales teams
9. Other duties assigned as needed.
Education / Experience:
Required Qualifications ($75,000-$90,000)
1. Ability to read and interpret contract drawings.
2. Experience with shop drawings.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
4. EIT certification (Required)
5. 5 years’ experience
6. Strong structural fundamentals
7. Familiarity with industry codes and standards
8. Proficiency in CAD software with an emphasis on SolidWorks
Preferred Qualifications: (up to $110,000)
9. PE license (Structural preferred)
10. Experience with H-20 / HL-93 design or ASTM-C1802
11. Aluminum design knowledge (ADM)
12. Fabrication/manufacturing experience
13. Advanced experience with SolidWorks and/or other 3D modeling tools
14. Experience in a metal Manufacturing/Fabrication Environment.
