Risk Management Co-op/Internship– St. Charles or Chicago, ILAmerican Industrial Transport, Inc. is a privately-owned company based in St. Charles Missouri, providing railcar leasing and repair services to the companies that move the essential assets that power the North American economy. Job Summary & Core Responsibilities: The Risk Management Intern will support the Risk team through project-based and day-to-day analytical work supporting lease portfolio surveillance and customer transaction review. This role is ideal for a student interested in credit risk, corporate finance, and portfolio analysis who wants hands-on exposure to how risk decisions are evaluated in a corporate environment.Perform Lessee Risk Ratings and support lease portfolio surveillance activitiesAssist with transaction review for lease and repair customer engagementsConduct research, financial review, and related data analysis supporting risk assessmentsSupport ongoing and ad-hoc risk projects designed to improve team efficiency and process consistencyProvide day-to-day analytical and administrative support to the Risk team as neededRequired Experience / Skills / Qualifications / EducationCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsInterest in credit risk, corporate finance, or financial analyticsAbility to work independently and in a team settingStrong attention to detail and communication skills Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: Office environmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
