Job Duties
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, operational excellence, and accountability.
- Accounting Process Oversight:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Maintain an effective internal control environment to mitigate risks related to fraud and compliance, and ensure proper application of US GAAP accounting standards.
- Establish and enforce best practices for general ledger maintenance, including account structure, journal entry review, and reconciliation procedures.
- Drive consistency and standardization of accounting practices. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other process documentation.
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis, including audit requests as needed.
- Process Improvement & Performance Metrics:
- Analyze current processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvements and drive initiatives to streamline workflows, increase efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of functional processes.
- Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Shared Services, Operations, Corporate Finance, Tax, IT) to drive alignment through end-to-end processes and support overall business objectives.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of process improvements, team performance, and financial operations.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems. SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
- Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and implementing automation within accounting functions.
- Experience leading and developing diverse teams.
- Skills & Competencies:

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cross functionally.
- Strong understanding and ability to apply US GAAP.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
Salary : $170,000 - $180,000
