We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. The Buyer will be responsible for managing inventory levels, purchasing materials to support production and customer orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials. This role serves as a key link between suppliers, operations, production, and customer-facing teams to maintain continuity of supply and support business objectives.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with inventory management and ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and demand requirements to ensure adequate supply for production and customer order fulfillment.
• Create, manage, and expedite purchase orders to meet production schedules and inventory targets.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for order status, delivery schedules, and supply-related issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and proactively address shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
• Track open purchase orders and follow up on overdue shipments to minimize supply disruptions.
• Communicate shipment updates, inventory concerns, and supply risks to cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Management.
• Work closely with warehouse and production teams to support inventory accuracy and material availability.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and inventory tracking.
• Experience using inventory management and ERP systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional supplier relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with collaborative business tools such as Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Google Drive, and video conferencing platforms.
• Experience with demand planning, forecasting, or inventory optimization.
• Understanding of purchasing metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and supplier performance.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
