SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
We are looking for a thorough Construction Estimator that is familiar with and can bid work pertaining to Commercial/Industrial Construction with and emphasis on Industrial Food Plants. The applicant should be looking to lay a foundation with a company for a long term career with a successful and supportive construction Group
Responsibilities
· Acquire understanding of the requirements of the projects and be able to talk through the project with the customer and ask verifying questions as well as offer Value Engineering possibilities
· Visit sites, warehouses and other venues to gather essential information
· Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data
· Prepare detailed reports and/or bids for submission to appropriate parties
· Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes from vendors and subcontractors
· Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)
Skills
· Proven experience as construction estimator
· Minimum of 3 years as a full-time estimator
· Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
· Comfortable with numbers and technology
· Sound knowledge of estimating software
· Great attention to detail
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
· Well-organized and reliable
· BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant field will be a plus
· Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification will be a plus
