Maternal, Child/Adolescent Health (MCAH) & WIC Support Staff -Knoxville, IA
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Staff to join our team. This position requires a strong communication skills in a fast paced clinic environment with good attention to details.
Regular hours are 8:00AM-4:30PM. Late clinics operate several times during each month from 10:00AM-6:30PM. Frequent travel in a company vehicle to surround communities in Oskaloosa, Albia, and Pella is expected.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinic and office support to Maternal and Child/Adolescent Health/WIC staff.
- Implement state and local agency policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Complete participant intake functions, schedule appointments, issue food benefits, and assist with referring families as appropriate.
- Participates in training and actively promotes and supports breastfeeding efforts.
- Participates in outreach activities.
- Communicates and interacts with various programs and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in clinic support is preferred.
- Computer skills including word processing and data entry.
- Ability to overcome language/cultural barriers to connect with a diverse population of lower-income populations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work with health professionals.
