What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician/Rehab Personnel position at American Home Communities?
We're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician/Rehab Personnel to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining our mobile home park properties. The job involves working in the maintenance department, where you may need to fit and crawl under mobile homes. We're seeking someone who is ready to dive in and assist with various tasks, including getting your hands dirty, especially when working on sewer and water lines. If you’re someone who prefers hands-on work over screen time, this position could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping the properties clean and doing routine maintenance work.
- Problem-solve and address water leaks, sewer back ups, electrical issues or HVAC concerns (Experience is not required as long as you are willing to learn).
- Assist with the delivery of violation and late notices and attend weekly meeting with supervisor.
- There will be a percentage of your week where you will be remodeling Mobile Homes.
- You will be required to take 'before and after' pictures of what you have worked on each day.
- Assist with the coordination of third-party vendor work.
- Local main job sites in Mobile Home Park in Goodfield IL
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property maintenance and management is a plus
- Driver's license and reliable transportation. Own transportation is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General carpentry and plumbing experience needed for site projects. Having your own basic tools is a must.
- Candidate should have a smartphone to log their hours, describe projects, provide updates via photos and videos, and take notes, order materials and log work orders
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
