We are currently hiring Machinists for 4 x 10 day shift Monday - Thursday.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified applicants should have experience with:
- Blueprint reading
- Precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Operating machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, and grinders
Additional qualifications to be considered more qualified:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills with a range of typical machining calculations
- CAD/CAM software experience is a plus, but not required
- CNC Machining with a range of controls
- Manual Machining
- Setups involving a range of workholding and tooling
- Leadership experience and skill
- Provide your own tools and gages
- Ability to work well in a small team environment (under 20 employees)
- Some education or training after high school any kind especially machining or technology such as engineering classes
Job Description
This position involves operating machinery and using hand tools and gages to machine parts in a high-mix, large-part job shop environment. You’ll apply your existing machining skills while learning specialized deep hole drilling operations. Training and orientation are provided.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, including engine lathes, CNC lathes, and manual mills and grinders
- Set tooling as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, job routers, schematics, and technical drawings
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues with team members
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
