POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Production Control and Logistics Clerk, who supports the efficient movement of material by coordinating shipping and receiving activities with various internal departments. This role involves working closely with plant operations, scheduling, the Shipping Coordinator and Yard Coordinator, optimizing logistics processes and upholding compliance with company standards and customer expectations. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of logistics operations. Their efforts will drive customer loyalty and ensure our logistics services consistently exceed expectations. This role will involve other operations/plant support functions as needed and outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will serve as the back-up to and assistant the Yard Coordinator. This includes helping stage shipments, loading trucks as needed and yard organization.

Coordinate product staging, shipments and pick lists with yard coordinator

Responsible for Material on Hand (MOH) process post manufacturing. Including ensuring material is tagged, bagged, labeled and stored together in the yard.

Documenting MOH orders via photos, which are organized and uploaded to a shared file location to ensure compliance with all DoT requirements.

Works with Shipping Coordinator to stage and load scheduled LTL shipments on a daily basis.

Receive, inspect, verify and transact in ERP system (Acumatica) the accuracy of incoming shipments (materials, parts, equipment).

Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOT).

Performs regular inventory cycle counts on a weekly basis.

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics and warehouse processes.

Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Performs other duties that may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a customer service role within a logistics or procurement environment
- Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/tools and other related shipping/logistics software.
Essential Functions:
- Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone
- Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders and/or equipment.
- Fork lift license required
- Maximum unassisted lift – 50 lbs. Average lift less than 25 lbs.
Work Environment
- Inside average office environment with average office noise levels
- Frequent outside weather conditions with temperatures ranging between 0◦ and 90◦
- Personal protective equipment may be required
- Ambient inside temperature between 68◦ and 76◦
Compensation Package
- Based on Full Time Employment
- Base pay: $23.00–$25.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
