Position Summary: The Admissions Coordinator serves as an ambassador for American Heritage School and plays an important role in advancing the School's mission by welcoming, informing, and guiding prospective families through the admissions process. As one of the first representatives of the School that many families encounter, the Admissions Coordinator is expected to model the School's values, demonstrate Christlike character, and support the religious mission of the School in all interactions.
Candidates must possess a sincere desire to work in a faith-based educational environment aligned with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, professionalism, kindness, and a genuine love for children and families.
Essential Responsibilities: The Admissions Coordinator serves as a welcoming and knowledgeable representative of American Heritage School, guiding prospective families through each step of the admissions process. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with families through email, phone, text, and in-person interactions; conducting campus tours; participating in family admissions interviews; processing student applications and maintaining accurate admissions records; and assisting families throughout the enrollment process with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. The Admissions Coordinator is expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the School in a manner consistent with its mission, values, and standards.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional service to prospective families. A bachelor's degree is recommended but not required, and a minimum of two years of experience in admissions, customer service, education, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and common office software, strong word processing and data entry skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor.
