What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at American Heritage School AF Campus?
American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah, is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to support classroom instruction when teachers are absent. This is an on-call position and offers the opportunity to work with students in a structured, faith-based academic environment. Experience in formal school setting preferred. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus.
Substitute teachers are expected to follow lesson plans provided by the teacher, maintain a respectful and orderly classroom environment, supervise students responsibly, and communicate effectively with school administration and staff. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage classroom routines and assist students with assigned work during the teacher's absence.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants are encouraged to include any interest in assisting with AHS extracurricular athletics programs. Please indicate any experience you have as a player or coach in specific sports. AHS prefers to fill its extracurricular athletics coaching openings with employees who also have the skills and interest to support athletic programs.
