We are growing quickly and looking for the right person to join our operations team.
Position Overview
This is a hybrid role that combines office responsibilities with hands on funeral home and crematory work. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, compassionate, and comfortable supporting families as well as assisting with removals (the transfer of a deceased individual from the place of death to the funeral home), cremations, and other physical tasks. This position requires flexibility and the ability to move between office work and field work as the needs of the business change throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Removal and On Call Duties
- Participate in removals of the deceased from private homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and from the Medical Examiner’s office when released.
- You will serve on a rotating two week overnight on call schedule for removals once trained.

- Operate a mortuary stretcher safely and respectfully.

- Maintain removal vehicle cleanliness and readiness at all times.

- Earn additional compensation for after hours removals.

Crematory Operations
- Assist with and later operate the crematory independently after training and certification.

- Complete an eight hour crematory certification course paid by the funeral home.
- Follow all legal, regulatory, and internal procedures with precision.

Cemetery Marker Sales and Design Support
- Meet with families to guide them through cemetery marker options.

- Gather design details, submit design requests, and coordinate design revisions
*
- Take payments, submit orders, and move tickets accurately.
*
- Maintain organized documentation and communication throughout the process.
Funeral and Service Support
- Assist with dressing and casketing.
*
- Help set up and support funeral services, gravesides, and visitations as needed.
*
- Occasional Saturday services may be required.
*
- Earn additional compensation for after hours services, viewings, and removals that extend beyond normal business hours.

Office and Administrative Duties
- Answer phones with professionalism and compassion.
*
- Assist with scanning, filing, and data entry.
*
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

- Use basic office software for communication and records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to lift at least 80 pounds without help.
*
- Clean driving record and valid Texas driver license.
*
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
*
- Professional appearance is required.
*
- Strong attendance and reliability.
*
- Comfort working around the deceased and interacting with grieving families.
*
- Basic computer skills required.
*
- Spanish is a plus but not required.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours.
*
- After hours needs and occasional Saturdays based on the needs of the business.

- Rotating two week overnight on call schedule after training.
*
- No absences permitted during the first 90 days.
*
Compensation and Benefits
- $33,000 annual salary during the first 90 days.
*
- $35,000 annual salary after successful completion of the probationary period.
*
- $50 stipend for each after hours removal.
*
- $50 stipend for after hours services or viewings extending beyond normal hours.
*
- Optional health insurance after 90 days.
*
- Paid time off begins accruing after probationary period.
Pay: $33,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
