What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher - PE K-12, Cottonwood, AZ position at American Heritage Academy?
What You Will Do:
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate PE curriculum for grades K-12
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where all students feel successful
- Teach fundamental movement skills, fitness concepts, and sportsmanship
- Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs and abilities
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support whole-child learning
- Promote safe use of equipment and facilities
- Participate in schoolwide events, initiatives, and professional learning.
What We are Looking For:
- Valid Arizona IVP Card
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate preferred
- 1-3 years previous teaching experience
- Ability to demonstrate positive student outcomes
- CPR/First Aid Certification a plus
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for motivating young learners
- Ability to model and promote teamwork, respect, and perseverance
