Job Summary
Press and verify the flatness of plates and parts according to half standard tolerance chart. Following all safety protocols, while producing quality products that meet customer specifications
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
General Responsibilities
- Locate and verify material to be pressed.
- Inspect plates’ flatness using a straight edge and taper gauge.
- Set up plate accordingly on press bed using spacers blocks underneath.
- Verify the tolerance for the plate to be pressed.
- Confirm part meets the tolerance required after pressing.
- Fill out and record all inspection forms and record in ERP system.
- Operate cranes as needed
- All duties of General Labor/Operator A as assigned
Skills
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to read a taper gauge using a straight edge.
- Knowledge of job set up.
- Hand /eye coordination.
- Computer knowledge.
- Operate crane.
Job Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Occasional kneeling / bending at the waist.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Rolling Mill and steel Service Center environment.
- Work in hot and cold temperatures
Monday -Thursday 5:30pm-3:30am.
Salary : $22 - $26
