American Hearts & Home LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our DSPs play a vital role in empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives while receiving high-quality support in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support based on each individual’s service plan.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals with community integration, social activities, recreational outings, and appointments.
- Teach and reinforce independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and communication.
- Promote choice, dignity, respect, and self-advocacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and daily service notes.
- Report changes in health, behavior, or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all state regulations, agency policies, and individual support plans.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals served.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous DSP, caregiver, CNA, PCA, or related experience preferred (training provided for qualified candidates).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional support.
