South Roanoke Nursing Home is currently recruiting for a Laundry Aide. The Laundry Aide performs a variety of laundry functions in order to provide clean resident clothing and facility linens. They collect soiled resident clothing and facility linens, separate, wash, dry, and fold all laundered items. Then, deliver clean linens and clothing to residents. The Laundry Aide will follow standardized infection control procedures, use universal precautions and will adhere to established safety practices. The Laundry Aide will have direct interaction with residents daily, therefore understanding the importance of quality customer service is vital. They are also responsible for maintaining the proper functioning of the laundry equipment.
Qualifications:Laundry Aide Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, and follow simple written and oral instructions
- Must be willing and able to perform repetitive and routine tasks and be able to maintain constant and consistent workflow.
- Prior Laundry experience preferred
- Ability to work independently
