Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional security presence at an assigned standing post
- Complete electronic Shift Activity Reports
- Report for duty in a neat, clean, pressed uniform and maintain required equipment
- Monitor all persons entering the building and ensure personnel display approved access badges
- Greet and assist visitors and vendors while verifying appointments with appropriate client staff
- Conduct hourly security checkpoint scans, including facility and parking area checks
- Perform patrols of assigned facilities and grounds at random intervals
- Ensure doors, gates, and vehicles are secured as directed by the client
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and security concerns to the appropriate contacts
- Escalate security breaches/issues and document incidents according to client procedures
- Contact proper authorities and client representatives when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous security officer experience preferred
- Knowledge of security procedures, public safety guidelines, and protocols
- Strong surveillance and observation skills
- Ability to write detailed incident reports
- Ability to operate radios, telephone equipment, and/or security monitoring systems
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location
- Must be able to stand for extended periods while working a standing post
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to follow client procedures
