American Group Contrax (AGX-LLC), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and federal prime contractor, is recruiting fifteen (15) Medical Supply Techniciansto support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs — Veterans Health Administration (VHA) across multiple healthcare facilities in the North Florida and South Georgia region.
Selected technicians will play a critical role in ensuring that eligible Veteran beneficiaries receive safe, high-quality care by maintaining the integrity of reusable medical equipment (RME), clinical and dental instrumentation, surgical tools, and endoscopes used throughout VA healthcare delivery.
These Medical Supply Technicians are to support healthcare operations and work with reusable medical equipment (RME) and clinical/dental/surgical instrumentation and endoscopes used to deliver care and assistance for eligible veteran beneficiaries at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Lake City VA Medical Center, Tallahassee Outpatient Clinic, Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic, and the Villages VA Outpatient Clinics. The Medical Supply Technicians will work in Decontamination, Sterilization, Examining, Assembling, Packaging, Receiving, Storing and Distributing Supply Items to Wards, Clinic Units and Operating Room areas.
This is mission-critical federal work. You will directly support the men and women who served our nation. Prior military healthcare or sterile processing experience is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate reusable medical equipment (RME) per VA/CDC protocols Operate sterilization equipment (steam, EtO, hydrogen peroxide) Inspect, examine, and assemble surgical and clinical instrumentation Package and seal sterile items for distribution to clinical areas Reprocess dental, surgical, and flexible endoscopes Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming medical supply items Store supplies in appropriate sterile and controlled environments Distribute supply items to wards, clinic units, and Operating Room areas Maintain accurate inventory and documentation records Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and VA sterile processing standards Support Operating Room supply logistics and sterile field preparation Report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to supervisors
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent Prior experience in sterile processing, central supply, or medical equipment handling (preferred: 1 year) Ability to pass VA background investigation and credentialing process Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization principles (AAMI, CDC, Joint Commission) Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in clinical environments Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred / Competitive Advantage:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification Prior VA or DoD medical facility experience U.S. Military veteran, transitioning service member, or military spouse

Pay: $28.45 - $31.00 per hour
