Supervisor - Second Shift - Distribution

Job Description

The role of the supervisor is to orchestrate the flow of product through the distribution channels to ensure delivery to our retail partners.

Duties May Include

• Coordinates the work assignments for all employees in areas of responsibility;
• Manages the safety and Continuous Improvement efforts within assigned area;
• Moves and manages labor to facilitate the dynamic work- flows within assigned areas;
• Review daily and weekly efficiency reports and review to ensure efficiency;
• Works with other departments to ensure deliverables are met in a timely and efficient manner;
• Responsible for managerial tasks that include performance evaluations, training and policy enforcement, associate motivation and overall staff development;
• Trains and monitors employees in all aspects of job duties;
• Communicate and support new processes and lean initiatives to associates;
• Responsible for achieving departmental shipping department goals;
  
  

Experience Required

2 years Production Experience – To develop production process competencies and cultural awareness.

3 years Supervision – To gain competency in employee motivation, training, communication, and development.

Education Required

A high school diploma and relevant job experience is required.

Preferred: Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related degree.
