As a Senior Forecasting and Demand Planning Lead, you will be responsible for leading volume forecasting and demand planning for greeting cards and other products across our strategic retail accounts, with ownership from initial planning through in-season execution and post-season analysis.
Responsibilities include developing and refining forecasts, aligning on distribution and merchandising strategies, and ensuring strong execution across the supply chain.
Partners cross-functionally to translate data and insights—including seasonality, product performance, and competitive dynamics—into actionable forecasts and business strategies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads cross-functional alignment across the strategic account team and supply chain partners to develop inputs and assumptions that drive accurate net forecasts and production plans. Includes aligning on distribution strategy, merchandising plans, timelines, competitive dynamics, and program awards.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with key business partners across the organization to ensure forecast accuracy and order integrity, driving alignment and execution from forecast through retail statement.
- Incorporates data-driven analysis into forecasting decisions, including:
- Season-over-season trends and in-season performance/pacing
- Product productivity and contribution across assortments and key programs
- Sales and yield performance to inform optimal sizing of open stock and assortments
- Develops and executes both short-term tactics and long-term strategies to improve seasonal card yield, sales performance, and overall financial outcomes.
- Owns order quality and execution, identifying and resolving order integrity issues while managing detailed order sizing and distribution within SCORE and OMS.
- Proactively identifies risks to program performance and leads the development and execution of mitigation strategies.
- Leads ad hoc analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and business performance.
Required Length & Type of Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in quantitative analysis or business operations with a focus on demand planning, supply chain and logistics, preferably with a consumer goods company
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning within a supply chain or consumer goods environment.
- Proven ability to improve forecasting and post-forecasting processes by leveraging data manipulation and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI), supported by strong Excel and Access skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop effective business solutions across the strategic account and broader supply chain.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights and recommendations to business and supply chain partners across varying functions and levels.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong process discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and manage tradeoffs between forecast accuracy, inventory risk, and financial outcomes.
