Job Description
The Janitor supports a clean, safe, and healthy workplace by maintaining restrooms, break rooms, offices, production areas, and other assigned areas. This role follows established cleaning procedures and uses equipment safely.
Essential Duties
Sweep, mop, dust, wash, vacuum, clean windows, and pick up trash to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance throughout the plant according to the schedule provided by Maintenance.
Remove full gondolas and replace them with empty ones at all assigned locations on a regular schedule using a tow tractor.
Empty full gondolas into the compactor using a sit-down counterbalance.
Properly operate a power sweeper to clean floors and complete daily equipment inspections as required.
Replenish supplies in all restrooms, spot clean as needed.
Spot clean carpet in the office building as needed
Use all janitorial chemicals safely and follow proper handling procedures
Pick up paper and clean dock areas when requested
Follow safe work practices when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, or supply shortages immediately
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work under the direct supervision of the Infrastructure Support Manager, Infrastructure Support Coordinator or Maintenance Supervisor.

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently
- Ability to perform repetitive reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and similar movements

- Ability to hear verbal instructions and safety signals
- Ability to work safely with common cleaning products and solvents
- Ability to use cleaning equipment such as carts, hand jacks, vacuums, and similar tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to match numbers
- Ability to perform basic math functions and understand units of measure
- Willingness to complete required safety and equipment training
