American Greetings is looking for a Human Resources Intern for the Summer of 2026.
In this role, you will play a valuable support role within the Human Resources team with daily operations, including maintaining employee records, assisting with policy and handbook projects, and ensuring onboarding activities are completed. This role offers hands-on exposure to key HR functions, with opportunities to shadow HR team members during employee relations, investigations, and recruitment activities. The intern will also provide general administrative support and contribute to a compliant, well-organized HR environment.
Ideal candidates are students with a minimum of 2 years pursuing a related degree who are detail-oriented, professional, and eager to gain practical HR experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining and organizing employee records, both electronic and hard copy.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding record-keeping.
* Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Assist with handbook consistency project.
* Partner with HR Administrator to ensure onboarding completion.
* Shadow HR Generalist or Specialist during investigation intake, employee relations discussions, or recruitment meetings (as appropriate).
* Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
