Key Responsibilities Include
- Create and maintain carrier portal access instructions
- Keep internal claims account assignment spreadsheet up to date
- Update and maintain internal claim review schedule as needed
- Copy, scan and file documents for all assigned accounts
- Enter new losses into agency claim system
- Report new claims as needed (on behalf of clients as requested)
- Follow-up with carriers to obtain outstanding information on newly reported claims
- File claims documentation and correspondence into agency claims system in a timely manner
- Communicate efficiently with adjusters to obtain any outstanding documentation on open claims
- Complete claim kits upon client insurance program renewal
- Maintain internal claim reporting guide to ensure carrier reporting instructions are current
- Assist with reconciliation of claims inventory between agency claim system and carrier loss runs as well as completion of claim triage reports
- Build and develop relationships with carriers, third party claims administrators and clients
- Participate in stewardship meetings, capabilities presentations and/or carrier claim review meetings as appropriate/requested
- Perform investigative searches in available databases
- Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external partners to ensure a high-level of customer service
- Maintain insurance license & CE requirements
- Additional responsibilities as required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time Management / Prioritization

- Ability and willingness to work with technology and data
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability or experience processing claims data to locate trends and make client recommendations (RMIS, Origami, Tailwinds, EPIC)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
