WHD - Warehouse Associate (FL)

Summary:

This position is responsible to carry out various warehouse activities in accordance with company documented process/procedure/job instruction and customer’s requirement where applicable.  They are to pull and pick orders, to stage, as well as the loading and unloading of trucks/containers.  This position must also assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse area.   Associates are expected to assist in maintaining operational functionality to the best of their ability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Load, unload trucks/containers (receiving/shipping) & put away product using forklift.
2. Pick and pull customers’ orders.
3. Generate, scan and affix labels to cartons.
4. Scan inbound/outbound materials accurately and properly.
5. Run reconciliation report to verify receiving transaction validity and accuracy.
6. Check outbound materials accuracy against the requirement/paperwork
7. Receive necessary related job training.
8. General warehouse maintenance including stock rotation (FIFO), DANCO, and warehouse equipment.
9. Special duties and projects as needed/assigned.
10. Assist Logistics Supervisor in providing a wide variety of functions.
11. Knowledge of all necessary and related company process/procedure/job instruction and customer’s requirement where applicable and follow through.
12. Must be able to work as a team and be responsive to other associates. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Basic communication & mathematical skills, written & oral.
2. Ability to lift 35 lbs.
3. Knowledge of and adherence to basic safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
4. Understanding of automotive industry terminology.
5. Detail Oriented.
6. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Must have valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma. 
2. Forklift certification.
3. Minimum 6 months experience in warehouse environment.

5. the position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
6. must be able to work overtime and/or weekends.
