Preventative Maintenance Technician/ 3rd Shift (40787)

Shift: 3rd, 12 AM - 8 AM, Monday - Friday

General Responsibilities: Must maintain equipment, including production machines, and other production-related equipment and tools to ensure the equipment is well-maintained and operating well. This position will be heavily involved in preventative maintenance tasks and basic facility needs for production equipment and project installations. Performing routine maintenance within and around the facility. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform preventative scheduled maintenance to maintain production equipment, utilities, and tools.

• Work within downtime and aid in implementing countermeasures or action plans to prevent recurrence.

• Assist the production department in maintaining adequate reliability and up-time.

• Work closely with colleagues to implement continuous improvement throughout the production plant.

• Assist manufacturing in implementing corrective actions promptly, if associated with facility issues.

• Control all spare parts to maintain and repair equipment when necessary.

• Control costs related to maintaining equipment and facilities.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma equivalent

• Basic mechanical and maintenance experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis

• Must communicate in both verbal and written matters

• Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Physical Demand: 

• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling are required.

• Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.

• The worker must have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer and working within arm’s reach.

• The worker may be subject to hazards, such as proximity to moving forklifts and stored chemicals.

Salary : $22 - $25
