General Description of Duties
This individual will work with the Inventory Control team to help maintain accurate inventory counts. Will help with daily inventory transactions and perform physical counts and verifications as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify discrepancies, and the use of inventory management systems to track and update data. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform scheduled and ad‑hoc cycle counts of raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished goods, including weight‑based materials.
- Assist with daily inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and Purchase Order processing.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, analyze variances, and identify root causes; communicate findings to Inventory Control leadership.
- Verify lot numbers, weights, locations, and status to ensure system accuracy and traceability.
- Support FIFO practices by validating material rotation and storage compliance.
- Assist with finished goods and raw material discrepancies involving production, shipping, or receiving.
- Participate in physical inventories, internal audits, and year‑end inventory counts.
- Accurately record count results and transactions within the inventory management system.
- Follow all company policies related to inventory control, safety, GMPs, and food manufacturing requirements.
- Work cross‑functionally with Production, Planning, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support inventory accuracy and plant operations.

Requirements
- Familiarity with manufacturing inventory and production procedures, preferably in a weight‑based or food/flavor environment.
- Strong basic math skills, including weight calculations and variance analysis.
- Minimum of 2years experience working with inventory management or ERP systems.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory systems).
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred or required upon hire).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods during the workday
- Capability to perform repetitive motions related to inventory handling and data entry
- Ability to report to any company facility based on business needs, including same‑day notice when required.
Salary : $21 - $24
