Compensation: Unpaid. Monthly Food and Travel Stipend of $500
Position Summary
The research extern program provides a research-oriented opportunity for students interested in the field of mental health and suicide prevention.
Extern will work in-person as a member of the Research Department at the National Office in New York City and will receive supervision in daily tasks. Main responsibilities will include research grant management, literature reviews, preparation of summaries on research findings, work with grant data, and publication tracking.
This research program is for class credit with a monthly travel and food stipend. Flexible hours are available.
Eligibility Criteria
- Part-time or full-time college student (undergraduate or graduate student)
- Available to work 8-10 hours per week
Qualifications
- Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated interest in psychology research and mental health via coursework or extracurricular activity
- Interest or passion for working in the non-profit field
