We represent leading CPG brands and exclusive private-label programs (Food Club, TopCare, Crav’n, and others) through our InterAmerican Hub model, connecting U.S. suppliers with in-country retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
We are expanding aggressively across the Caribbean and seeking a high-performing sales leader who can drive growth, build local partnerships, and execute a multi-channel go-to-market strategy.
Job Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manager – Caribbean will lead AFI’s commercial expansion across island markets, managing key retail, foodservice, and sub-distributor relationships while growing our CPG and private-label presence.
This role requires an operator who understands how to sell and move product in-country, not just from behind a desk — someone comfortable closing large retail programs, managing distribution contracts, and guiding promotional execution with precision. Traveling to these islands and personally closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Growth
- Lead AFI’s commercial development across all Caribbean markets
- Develop and execute sales strategies by channel: retail, food service, and sub-distributors.
- Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and import partners in each country.
- Manage and expand current retail relationships
Brand & Private Label Development
- Drive private-label adoption with in-country retailers.
- Coordinate directly with buyers and category managers to secure new listings and in-store visibility.
- Partner with the marketing team to design trade promotions and brand activation plans.
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with AFI’s Miami HQ to align on pricing, logistics, and product availability.
- Track country-level market intelligence (pricing, competitor SKUs, shelf space, velocity, and margin).
- Manage volume forecasts and sales pipelines in collaboration with supply chain and finance.
Leadership & Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with sub-distributors, brokers, and key accounts.
- Train and support local teams or third-party reps to ensure brand consistency and execution.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 2-5 years years in CPG/FMCG sales, distribution, or export management within the Caribbean region.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of retail, foodservice, and sub-distribution models.
- Network: Established relationships with regional buyers, importers, and distributors.
- Track Record: Proven success driving double-digit growth and managing multi-market operations.
- Languages: English required; Spanish a strong plus.
- Skills: Negotiation, trade marketing, P&L accountability, pricing strategy, and route-to-market development.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable building systems in fast-scaling environments.
