Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Billerica, MA, for a Quality Control Inspector. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections of precision components to ensure compliance with industry and company standards. Daily tasks include reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, conducting quality assurance tests, documenting results, and collaborating with the production team to address any quality issues. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to quality management protocols. This role will be onsite 5 days a week with weekend overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Quality Control and Inspection processes, with the ability to evaluate precision components thoroughly
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Strong Communication skills for effective coordination with the production team and reporting findings
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with measuring tools and quality testing equipment
- Proficient with reading Dial indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers etc. out to 4 decimal places.
- An understanding of military, aerospace, or oil/gas industry standards is a plus
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications such as ASQ Certified Inspector or equivalent are advantageous
- CMM experience a plus
- CMM programming experience a plus
