Job Summary

The Production Supervisor (Night Shift) oversees daily night shift operations within assigned production departments, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role supervises department leads and operators during the night shift, implements production schedules, monitors performance, and communicates operational issues to the Production Lead and Plant Manager to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous production operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise department leads and their teams within the various departments.
• Ensure production schedules are executed effectively to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
• Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, adherence to ISO 9001 standards, and compliance with safety/OSHA regulations.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, including equipment performance, material shortages, or workflow bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate production records and report department performance metrics to the Production Lead/ Production Manager.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and SOPs across all supervised departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Promote teamwork, communication, and adherence to operational best practices among department leads and operators.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for department leads and operators, ensuring operational issues are resolved efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operation reviews to verify material availability and completeness; promptly communicate material usage and shortages to the Warehouse, Production, and Quality departments.
• Lead investigations into quality incidents, safety events, and customer complaints related to production processes, equipment performance, and human factors; prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the immediate supervisor and relevant departments.
• Coordinate and oversee monthly inventory audits, validate inventory records, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and control.
• Review and approve employee leave requests and verify the accuracy of reported working hours in accordance with company policies.

Job Qualifications

• Experience supervising multiple departments and leaders or teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of batching, extrusion, gluing, profiling IXPE, and packing processes.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, ISO 9001 standards, and SOP compliance.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Skills

• Experience with ERP or production management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a variety of positions, including sitting, standing, squatting, and walking, for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as required by the role.
• Ability to consistently wear and properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the duration of the shift, including but not limited to steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and protective eyewear, to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
